The attached file is about wastewater treatment. What want is I want you to re-write the text in your own words so that when is submit the file in turnitin it will not show any plagiarism.
Also in the attached file your going to see the primary, secondary and tertiary treatments, I want you to make a comparison between the treatments in the attached file and the treatments shown below.
These steps are divided into four main different treatments (Rao & Data, 2012):
-Preliminary treatment, based on the removal of big solid particles, generally by filtration.
-Primary treatment, based on mainly physical processes (e.g. sedimentation). The objective of the primary treatment is to homogenize the wastewater effluent and to remove any solid particle that can’t be homogenized for further treatment.
-Secondary treatment, during which different biological processes are applied to the wastewater effluent such that the biochemical oxygen demand is significantly decreased by killing most of the microorganisms present in the wastewater effluent.
-Tertiary or final treatment, during which a set of different physical, chemical and biological treatment operations are applied to decrease the nutrient load of the wastewater effluent, remove any possible remaining pollutants, deodorize and decolorize the final effluent water. The objective of this treatment step is therefore to ensure that the wastewater effluent will comply with the established limits before being discharged into the environment.
Considering the above classification, the most important steps from the point of view of removing the presence of organic matter, chemical pollutants or microorganisms and therefore significantly increasing the quality of the released effluent of purified wastewater are the primary, secondary and tertiary treatments (E.P.A. manual, 1997). Taking this into account, it will on these that attention will be focused.
It should be noted, however, that the efficiency of these treatments will significantly depend on the quality of the wastewater effluent that arrives at this stage (EPA manual, 1997). In this sense, it is important that the wastewater is free from big floating solid particles to ensure that the efficiency of ulterior treatments is not dramatically decreased.
Taking this into account, it is possible to improve the efficiency of the preliminary treatment by modifying the sieve size used at the entrance of the wastewater treatment plant or decreasing the speed at which the wastewater enters the wastewater treatment plant.
